Job Overview:

We are seeking a versatile HR Generalist with 5-10 years of experience in consultancy, recruitment firms, MNCs, or startups. The ideal candidate will manage recruitment, employee relations, compensation (including equity and deferred salaries), and overall HR operations. As part of a dynamic, bootstrapped consultancy firm that supports various industries, you will play a key role in shaping HR strategies and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities (KRA):

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment and collaborate with department leads to define hiring needs.
  • Build relationships with external staffing agencies.

Equity and Compensation Management

  • Develop and manage equity compensation and deferred salary plans for early employees.
  • Monitor market trends to keep compensation competitive.

Onboarding & Offboarding

  • Oversee new hire onboarding to ensure smooth integration.
  • Conduct exit interviews and manage offboarding processes.

Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Handle employee queries and resolve workplace issues.
  • Develop programs to improve employee engagement and satisfaction.

Performance & Development

  • Manage performance appraisals and set clear objectives.
  • Identify employee training needs and implement development programs.

Policy & Compliance

  • Ensure HR policies comply with legal regulations.
  • Update and enforce company policies across departments.

Workforce & Succession Planning

  • Plan for future workforce needs and develop a succession strategy for key roles.

HR Technology & Analytics

  • Implement and manage HR systems (HRIS, ATS) to enhance efficiency.
  • Analyze HR metrics and provide insights for improvement.

Health & Wellbeing

  • Develop and manage employee wellness programs.
  • Ensure workplace safety and compliance with health standards.

Culture & Diversity Initiatives

  • Promote a positive, inclusive work culture and drive DEI initiatives.

  • Recruitment Efficiency:
    • Time to Hire: Reduce time to hire by X%.
    • Offer Acceptance Rate: Maintain at least X%.
    • Cost per Hire: Reduce cost per hire by X%.
  • Retention:
    • Attrition Rate: Keep below X%.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in HR roles, preferably in consultancy or startup environments.
  • Proven experience in recruitment, employee relations, compensation management, and performance development.
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies, compliance, and labor laws.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret HR metrics and data.
  • Proficient in HR software (HRIS, ATS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to foster a positive work culture and drive engagement initiatives.
  • Knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion best practices.
